Education: Pursuing an M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension and Information Systems at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka.
Short Profile: Md. Mubassher Salehin is an agriculturist, entrepreneur, and researcher with a strong interest in making research, information, and technology accessible and useful to the public. Through Biggani.org, he also works to promote scientific thinking, curiosity, and inquiry among young people.
Research and Academic Interests: His primary interests include agricultural economics, development economics, Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D), farmers’ behavior, and Management Information Systems (MIS).
Skills and Experience: He has experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, survey design, statistics, and statistical analysis. He uses Python and R for data analysis and is also experienced in content creation, digital communication, website development, and project coordination.
He has worked on research and projects involving climate and weather information services in agriculture, farmers’ information needs and usage, crop production and management, and the impact of technologies and agricultural inputs. He is currently working toward a research publication.
Contribution to Biggani.org: He has contributed as an organizer and volunteer to Biggani.org’s science workshops, content initiatives, and science communication activities. He is particularly interested in understanding the barriers that prevent children and young people from pursuing science and in creating opportunities for them to develop scientific curiosity and research skills.
Future Goal: His long-term goal is to combine research, science communication, and technology to address real-world social challenges. He also aspires to help establish Biggani.org as a strong, credible, sustainable, and internationally impactful science-based platform.
