Dr. Kallol Das is a plant pathologist, researcher, and author with extensive research experience in plant pathology, soil microbiology, fungal biodiversity and taxonomy, molecular diagnostics, and sustainable agriculture. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at California Polytechnic State University, USA, and has previously conducted research in South Korea and Bangladesh.
His research focuses on plant diseases, fungal diversity, host–pathogen interactions, molecular identification, and sustainable approaches to crop disease management. Through his work, he seeks to better understand the complex relationships among plants, microorganisms, and their environments and to contribute scientific knowledge toward healthier crops and more sustainable agricultural systems.
Dr. Kallol has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is also the author of two books: Mind Unlocked: A Practical Guide to Mental Health and Emotional Wellness and Plants: Mystery of the Universe. His books reflect his broader interest in exploring the complexities of life, from the human mind and emotional wellbeing to the fascinating biological world of plants. Beyond research and writing, Dr. Kallol is actively involved in scientific publishing, teaching, and communicating science to a wider audience.
